- This bee will run for 12 months (January to December 2010).
- When it is your month to send out fabrics, please make sure the fabric has been sent out by the first week of your month (preferably sooner).
- General guidelines for how much fabric to send can be found here.
- Here are some general guidelines and helpful tips about mailing your fabric out.
- Your fabric must be accompanied by guidelines (you may either print these out and include them with the fabric, or post them on our blog).
- Guidelines should include block size, if you have a preference, and how many blocks you expect the quilters to make. It should also include general construction guidelines and what you want us to do with extra fabric (are quilters allowed to keep extra fabric, or do you want them to send it back to be used for binding/quilt back/making extra blocks).
- If you're having trouble deciding what kind of blocks you want, you can check out this link. However, please note that you do not need to specify a certain pattern or block type, if you would like to have a lot of variation, you may ask for the quilter to choose which pattern to make or to try improvisational piecing.
- When you receive fabric, please complete your block and send it back to the owner within 3 weeks (or by the end of the month, if that comes later). Follow the owner's guidelines about what kind of blocks they want and what to do with any extra fabric.
- If you know you are going to have trouble finishing a block within 3 weeks, or sending out your fabrics in time, please notify the Quilt Mom (Sarah Seitz), so we can work out a solution.
